My friend Kristen made a very insightful comment on her Easter post today. She pointed out that the "Reese's Egg is far superior to the normal Reese's cup." This is true, of course, and I'll tell you why.

See the edge? Those seemingly harmless ridges are actually the downfall of the classic peanut butter cup. The peanut butter stops way too short of the edge, which is usually much harder than the soft peanut butter/chocolate combo in the middle.
Now check out this beautiful image:
That is perfection. No thick edge. Peanut butter as far as the eye can see. And a soft chocolate coating.
And just in case you're wondering, the Reese's pumpkin, which closely resembles the egg in size and shape, runs a pretty close second.
P.S.--Peeps are disgusting and I promise never to put them in my kid's Easter basket.
